The Lym Valley Croquet Club Intermediate team had a good win in their final match against Nailsea in July and as divisional winners they now progress to the regional semi-finals, writes Philippa Fortescue.
These will take place against Cornwall at St Austell. It is only the second season that LVCC have competed at Intermediate level, so it is a great achievement to reach the semi-finals.
The B League also won their last match against Wellington in July. They have one more match coming up in August and at the moment they are placed mid-way in their division.
The LVCC is joining in with the UK wide initiative to catch the enthusiasm of the Games by holding an introductory afternoon on Sunday, August 19, 1.30 - 4.30pm, at the Uplyme Croquet Lawn. More information from Philippa on 01297 442181
