Lyme ladies grabbed the main spoils this week in the league taking all 10 points in their home game against Poole Park, writes Paul Moffitt.

Thanks to a handsome win by Paul Pomeroy’s rink away at Greenhill, Lyme One were able to come home with six points in the bag. Lyme Two continue to struggle but, they helped out the other Lyme team by securing three points from their game against Melcombe Regis, presently lying in second place behind Lyme One in Division One of the West Dorset League.

Lyme One travel to Melcombe Regis this Monday and need to keep up the pressure on their nearest rivals.

Two friendlies were played last week with a win recorded over Sherborne and a loss suffered to Sidmouth.

On the first day of Lifeboat Week, the Club held their annual drive in aid of lifeboat funds. With entrance fees, raffle and donations the club’s ladies’ captain, Ann Allman, presented the lifeboat treasurer with £203.
