Lyme Regis Club Day proves a big hit

Lyme Regis had its club day on Saturday as a complete mixture of teams set out for a Texas scramble competition, writes Richard Jackman.

Although the day was more important than the result it perhaps typified the event that the age difference in the winning team was over 60 years. Lady member Ronny Turner was teamed with young Zak Mudford, Steve Mudford and the vintage Mike Hankey.

Congratulations to Steve Mudford who equalled Keith’s feat of the previous day by also scoring a hole in one on the third hole. The golf was followed by a tasty barbecue and the more hardy ones danced the night away to Mother’s Ruin. All in all, a great club day.
