Lyme Regis Gig Club were on parade at the Weymouth Regatta.

The success of the day was the performance of the youth team.

The youngsters did the club proud by finishing second out of nine boats.

Their success was testament to the time and commitment they put into regular training on, and off, the water.

The youth crew comprised; Lauren Boggan, Maeve Hankin, Callum Leah, Stephen De Bank, Mulberry Threlfalleyres and Charlie Simpson

It was certainly an excellent start to what will be a busy regatta season for them.

The men’s gig crew gave a good account of themselves racing in the A and B categories, against tough competition.

Meanwhile, the vets crew rowed with focus and discipline and finished fourth out of nine boats.
