When courses do finally reopen, one little jewel in the local golfing crown is the fabulous Lyme Regis Golf Club.
Overlooking the historical town of Lyme Regis and enjoying coastal views toward Portland Bill, the majestic par 71 course is a must-visit for golfing enthusiasts.
And, despite the current lockdown, the greenkeepers have remained busy in preparation for the return of golfers.
The greens have had a further 15 tonne of top dressing applied, along with technical processes to help with drainage.
All tees and aprons have been tined with 19mm tines to alleviate compaction and speed up percolation rates.
All the new tee mats have been installed and surrounding banking has now been turfed.
Leaves and branches have been removed from the left side of the 18th hole to allow more light to the area, speeding up recovery of the turf going into the season.
In other words, Lyme Regis GC is ready for the green light.
