Lyme Regis golf latest - Deem’s dream double day

In round two of the Winter League singles there were some good scores, writes Richard Jackman.

Scratch golfer Kieron Fowler took top spot from Harry Harris, both with 39 points with Brian Deem third on 38 points on countback from Gareth Williams in fourth.

In the seniors’ December stableford, Brian Deem was again in fine form as he won Division One with 37 points from Keith Gibson and Jim Kerr both with 36.

It was even tighter in Division Two as the top three all scored 36 points, but Gareth Vaughan won on countback from Tom Binks and Bernie Porter. In Division One of the ladies stableford, Susan Moore just beat Jane Southcombe on countback with 36 points and Caroline Baker came third with 34 points. Division Two saw Rosemary Dare win from Kathy Briggs, both 32 points, on countback, with Ronny Turner third with 30.
