In the Frost Cup, a four-ball better ball competition Phil Webb and vice-captain elect, Mark Lewis, scored a wonderful 46 points and just beat Mark Colley and Merv Knight on countback with Roger Turner and Denis McCallum third with 45 points, writes Richard Jackman.

The seniors’ Veterans’ Trophy was won by Brian Deem with an exceptional score of net 68, crafted on an excellent back nine, with Peter Tinsley second with 71 and Royston Davies just pushed into third place on countback.

The Midweek Stableford was a close run thing as Gareth Williams just stole the honours with 37 points on countback from John Yorke, with plus-one golfer, Stuart Wight third with 36.

In the ladies Autumn Closed competition, Jenny Scott, Lizzie Linnert and Emma Davies stood on the podium for the second week running winning with 74 points from Judith Williams, Linda Baker and Julie Duke on 69 and Ros Cox, Elaine Colman and Wendy Hart one point further behind on 68.

The Junior Medal was won by Dominic Beardwood narrowly beating Cameron Moss, both with net 70, with Jonathan Day third on 71.
