There were some good scores in the December medal meeting, writes Richard Jackman.

Tim Daniel landed first place in Division One with a score of net 69. Second and third places were decided on countback with David Riches edging out Simon Doyle after both scored net 70.

In Division Two Simon Leech finally overcame card-in-the-hand nerves to record a steady and very creditable net 64 to beat Steve Piper, net 66 and Lee Caddy, net 69.

Lyme Regis held their presentation evening on Friday and it was dominated by the juniors who scooped up many of the men’s prizes, including junior captain George Seed who collected the club championship prize from Roger Seed, club captain, also the runner-up and his father, definitely a chip off the old block!

In his speech, George thanked all who had helped him along the way including his parents and club professional Duncan Driver.
