Melissa McMahon from Lyme Regis golf club just lost out on countback to Harriet Teversham from Yeovil GC both with a score of 158, writes Richard Jackman.

The top 16 qualified for the match play knockout where an uninvited lady - storm Hannah, continued to play her part going into Saturday, with further windy conditions, hailstorms and showers.

McMahon won her first three matches in convincing style winning seven-and-six, seven-and-five and seven-and-six, o get through to the final against Teversham.

This match proved a good test for both players but McMahon won through with a determined and polished performance to win, one up on the last hole, making it the fifth time she has been crowned Dorset Ladies County champion.
