Lyme Regis Bowls club got a new outdoor season underway when deputy mayor Anita Williams sent the first wood down the rink, writes Paul Moffitt.
Club president Brian Parsons was alongside the deputy mayor.
The first day was blessed with sunshine and whilst the temperatures were not good there was a real friendly warmth about proceedings which also saw a delightful high tea consumed in the clubhouse.
This week sees the start of the trials for the forthcoming league season, one in which all the men’s’ teams will be hoping for better results than last season!
