Lyme Regis men played a four-ball better ball competition, and but for a point, Phil Webb could have had a hat-trick of victories, writes Richard Jackman.
However, it was club captain Lee Caddy and partner Graham Paterson who stole the show accumulating a good 42 points.
The pair played particularly well on the back nine and so pushed Nathan Turner and Steve Kitcher into second place but only on countback, also on 42 points.
Webb and partner Steve Piper took third place with a creditable 41 points.
