The Lyme Regis midweek stableford was won by David Lyon with 40 points which took this remarkable 18-year-old down to a handicap of point six, so close to playing off scratch, due reward for his hard work and dedication, writes Richard Jackman.
George Seed was second with 35 points and Neil Hampton-Rumbold third with 32.
In the ladies’ President’s day progressive bowmaker, Jenny Scott, Lizzie Linnert and Emma Davies were runaway winners with a brilliant 78 points with Caroline Baker, Sarah Hampton-Rumbold and Sue Jupp in second place on 69 points.
The ladies section also held their past captain’s competition which was won by Jenny Scott, but the real star of the day was Frances Marsh, past ladies’ captain who is 100 year’s old.
