The Lyme Regis midweek stableford saw new faces on the podium as Graig McGowan scored a brilliant 42 points to get his handicap down to seven, writes Richard Jackman.

On countback with 38 points, Bernie Styles just pipped Colin Baker to third place. The seniors’ May stableford division one was won by Roger Stokes’ outstanding 42 points from Keith Gibson 38 and Stuart Briggs 33. Division 2 was much closer as Dave Dallas just beat Barry Coleman on countback with 38 points and Michael List came third with 35.

Highlight of the day though was Keith Gibson’s hole in one on the third, the first time five-handicapper Keith has achieved this feat – congratulations.
