The Lyme Regis ladies’ Teague Foursomes is always an interesting competition as the top eight pairs go forward and play each other in a knock-out competition, writes Richard Jackman.
With all still to play for, the eight qualifying couples are: Susan Moore and Julia Coote – 63; Sandra Barclay and Di Harris – 63.5; Di Smith and Sassy Hay – 66; Jean Jolley and Felicity Horton – 66; Cyndy Mudford and Kate Helm – 66.5; Linda Richmond and Debbie Shinners – 70.5; Jenny Scott and Ros Clemmans – 72; Amy Mudford and Beth Rowlands-Rees – 72.
In other news, the seniors’ March stableford was played on a re-arranged day, but this didn’t stop the in-form Steve Harlow from claiming another win as, after a faltering start, he came home with a two under par 34 points on the 16-hole layout.
The runner-up was Arthur Daines with his score of 32.
