Sunday’s Lyme Regis threeball scramble was a triumph of youth over experience as Scott Love, George Seed and Jon Ebdon stole the show winning comfortably with 58.7, writes Richard Jackman.
This trio, with a combined handicap of one, certainly put on an excellent display of golfing talent effectively scoring birdies on two out of every three holes.
They all played well just scoring steadily, which included two twos on the par threes.
In this fun event the more mature grouping of Roger Seed, Adrian Morgan and Roddy Donaghy crafted out a good solid score of 63.6 points to come in second. Only 0.4 behind were Ian Drake, Tony Harley, and Paul Courts, and it was Courts’ 30ft birdie putt on the 11th that really kept their momentum going as all contributed during a very enjoyable round to finish third.
