Lee Caddy had an excellent round of golf to finish on plus six in the Langmoor Trophy, a bogey competition, writes Richard Jackman.

The runners-up berth went to Charles Lane with his score of plus three and James Turner finished third.

The seniors’ July stableford was a close fought affair and, with the best score of the day to win Division One, was Paul Galloway with 40 points from Patrick Duke 39 and Michael Gill 37.

The Division Two title was won by Gareth Vaughan 39 points from Tony Johnstone 38, and Dave Dallas 37.

Matthew Watson 39 points showed the way in the midweek stableford winning from Ian Mudford 38 points and club captain Roger Seed 36 in third.

Lyme Regis lady captain Rosie Jackman, held her Captain’s Day where the theme was ‘best of British’.

Over 65 ladies all dressed up in their red, white and blue, truly entering the spirit of the day and all enjoyed a Texas scramble before having a wonderful meal and wind down after the day.

There were winners but in the end everyone won by simply having a good time
