Lyme Bowls Club: Congratulations to Judith Moffitt, Maureen Gillett and Kathy Clissold who lifted the Dorset Women's Triples title at Wimborne on Sunday.

They overcame last year's winners from West Moors by an impressive 24-15 margin. There were nail-biting moments in the middle of the game when a comfortable 15-6 margin was reduced to 15-14 in the space of two ends! Not easy for those of us who were spectating to watch either. Nevertheless, the trio held their nerve to finish with some very tight bowling to keep out the team from West Moors. Well done girls!

Elsewhere, Pat Cole, Sheila Applebee, Helen Dowling and Lesley Broome snatched the coveted Perham Trophy at Seaton by a winning margin of 20 points. Again, well done girls!

The men's league season has now finished with Lyme and Lyme A playing their final games this Monday.

Lyme gained a well deserved eight points at home to Dorchester in a closely fought match whilst Lyme A could only manage two points away to Greenhill A.
