Colyton took the honours in terms of local teams playing in the Macron Devon and Exeter League on the first Saturday of September as they defeated Exmouth Town Reserves 12-0 in a Premier Division game.

Upottery and Seaton Town both lost their top flight games with Upottery beaten 2-0 at Newtown and Seaton Town going down 5-1 at Lyme Regis.

In Division Two there was a 4-2 home defeat to Thorverton for Axminster Town Reserves while Honiton Town Reserves lost 8-2 at Royal Oak and Tipton ST John shared six goals at home to Bow AAC.

In Division Three the East Devon derby at Otterton ended in a 3-1 home win against Ottery St Mary while, in Division Four, Feniton Reserves were 3-1 winners in a Monday night game at Pinhoe.

In Division Five, Awliscombe lost 5-2 at home to Devon Yeoman and, in Division Six, Seaton Town Reserves were beaten 6-1 at home by Spreyton, but there was success for Offwell Rangers who beat Chagford Reserves 2-1.

In Division Eight Honiton Town Reserves suffered two defeats in the space of three days with their Saturday 3-2 reversal at Devon Yeoman Reserves followed by a Monday night 5-1 loss at Topsham Town.

This Saturday (September 8), the top billing, in terms of Macron Devon and Exeter League action, goes to the Premier Division game at Feniton where Beer Albion are the visitors for an East Devon derby (3pm).

It’s cup day through the leagues with Upottery in Devon Premier League action away at Kingskerswell and Chelston while Lyme Regis entertain Alphington Reserves in an East Devon Senior Cup tie.

There’s Bill Slee Cup action at Millwey Rise where the visitors are Newton St Cyres and also at Beer Albion Reserves where St Martins Reserves provide the opposition. In the same competition, Ottery St Mary visit Halwill, Otterton entertain Teignmouth Reserves and Feniton Reserves are at home to Thorverton.

There is Football Express Cup action for Awliscombe, who host Cheriton Fitzpaine and also for Seaton Town Reserves, who play host to Sidmouth Town thirds.

There’s Division Eight action at Mountbatten Park with Honiton Town thirds entertaining Sandford (2.45pm).
