Last Friday a good field of thirty-seven seniors played in a medal competition contested on cold, dry day with some frost on the ground, writes Andy Wagner.
Dave Maggs won Division One with a net 67.
Peter Shepherd made 70, and both were given yellow cards to start the winter handicapping system. If they are again winners or runners-up they will have red cards and lose a shot from their handicaps.
Vic Wood took third with 71, beating Buzz Harris on countback. Ron Graham took the last prize.
Division Two was won by Norrie Fleet with a net 65. Peter Blake came second and they too were both given yellow cards. Bill Phillips had a 71, followed by John Chew on 72 and Phil Faulkner with 73.
The Tuesday Charity Roll Up last week saw thirty-eight seniors take part.
However, instead of playing for the pot it was decided to forgo the prizes in favour of a donation to Shelter Box in support of victims of the Philippines disaster.
With the prize pot and individual donations over £100 was sent to the charity.
