In the seniors section the usual suspects topped the scoreboard when they played a three-club and putter competition on a bitterly cold and windy day.

The temporary greens made the manufactured shots all the more difficult, but the scoring was not bad in spite of it.

Dave Maggs came out on top in division one with 35 points. It was good to see a new name on the winner’s list - that was Buss Harris, runner-up with 34 points, beating Eric Short and Malcolm Matthews on count back.

Vic Wood took the last prize. In division two Don Leach made the best score of the day with 38 points.

Phil Faulkner, Ron Rogers and Bill Phillips all had 36 points and Laurie Halliwell took the last prize.
