McLuaghlin and Dann land Treble Six triumph at Honiton

Thirty-six players enjoyed the continuing good weather playing a Treble Six in thr Tuesday Mixed at Honiton, writes Andy Wagner.

This format allows players to ‘warm up’ over the first six holes as its a Better Ball , have a choice of drives for six holes and then ‘this is where the ball is - hit it’ format for the last six holes of foursomes.

Scoring was very good and the winning pair with an excellent 44 points were Linda McLaughlin and Cyril Dann.

In second place with 42 points were Lesley Farley and Phil Wall.

Third place went to Celia Hamlett and Laurie Tollemache with 41 points after count back with Lesley Oxenham and Paul Ritchie edged into fourth place.
