Millwey Rise Football Club has announced a special forthcoming date, writes Dick Sturch.
It’s the date that the club has selected to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The celebration will be held at the Guild Hall, Axminster, on Saturday, June 16.
The evening will include dinner, presentations and dance. For further details and tickets, please contact any club member or official or enquire at Cloakham Lawns Social Club.
All involved in the club are mighty proud to be reaching this major anniversary, especially as, when the club was initially formed, some unkind folk suggested it would be a ‘five minute wonder’.
