Millwey Rise Football Club has produced, arguably, the finest season’s review of any club of their standing.
The East Devon-based football club, who play out of Cloakham Lawns have put together a 20-page brochure that has match reports from every one of the two senior teams matches in the 2016/17 Macron Devon and Exeter league season.
The front cover carried a picture of both 1s5t and 2nd teams and the inside cover has a picture of Tony Miller, who sadly passed away in 2017 having, at one time or another, served the club as a player, committee member, and, in his latter years, a loyal supporter.
The inside back page has a picture of the club’s 1958-59 side together with a superb football ode penned by the clubs match correspondent, himself a legend of the club – Dick Sturch.
Well done to all concerned in the publication – it is a real credit to a grass roots football club.
