Millwey Rise Reserves went down 3-1 at home to Amory Green Rovers, writes Dick Sturch.
This turned out to be a disappointing game after the previous week’s heroic battle!
The Tiverton-based visitors opened a two-goal lead before the home side reduced the arrears through Matt Beechy.
The second half remained pretty even, but in the 60th minute the visitors scored their third goal. Things then became a little more competitive which resulted in a player from each side being shown a red card and one or two others receiving yellow cards.
On Saturday (October 17), the Reserves entertain Newton Poppleford second team at Cloakham Lawns (3pm).
