Millwey Rise Reserves drew 0-0 with visiting Amory Green Rovers Reserves when the pair met at Cloakham Lawns to contest Macron League Division Nine points, writes Dick Sturch.

In their penultimate game of the league campaign, this was very much a case of the Rise second string ‘throwing away’ two points!

So many gilt-edged chances were missed that it became embarrassing. The visitors in return did not have one shot on Millwey’s goal throughout the match. It did give the home side another clean sheet, but little else and they still need to win in the return fixture next week to guarantee a well earned third place finish in the final table.

For Millwey Leon Finbow, Dave Bridges and Henry Alexander Mitchell were the stars.

On Saturday (March 18), Millwey visit Amory Green Rovers (3pm) for their final Macron League game of the season.
