Millwey Rise fielded a mixed team compromising of first team and reserve team players for a pre-season friendly away at Chard United, writes Dick Sturch.
Playing on what was a firm surface with the dry summer we have had this year, Rise moved the ball around well and served up some neat, patient build-up play.
The Rise goals came from Mark Pike and Nathan Womersley and both goals came from intricate passing moves.
Considering the make-up of the team everyone performed well to secure the victory with lots of positives to carry into the new season.
