Milwey Rise FC - Womersley bags trophy double

The Millwey Rise FC Presentation evening took place last Friday night at the Cloakham Lawns Sports and Social Club, writes Dick Sturch.
A good turnout of players and supporters were present for the 2015 presentations which were followed by a buffet and disco.
Chairman Doug Thompson welcomed everyone and expressed a vote of thanks to the committee members and players who had worked so hard during the year to ensure Millwey Rise FC successfully continued to provide football for both the adult and youth teams they support during the 2014/15 campaign.
The 1st X1 management team of Simon Flint and Shane Featherstone together with 2nd X1 manager, Wayne Jenkins selected their choices for the following presentations which were made by Dick Sturch.
1st team: Top goal scorer - Mark Pike; Most improved player – Zak Meaker; Players’ player of the year – Nathan Womersley; Manager’s player of the year – Nathan Womersley.

Other awards went to; Wayne Jenkins (Clubman of the year) and to Jo Flint and Caroline Jenkins (The Tea Hut Terrace Members award).

It was good to see club president Tony Turner, with his wife Jean, attending the presentations after his recent illness and he concluded the proceedings thanking everyone for their support and wishing Millwey Rise FC success in the coming season.
