Mixed fortunes for Feniton Over-60 teams

Feniton Bowling Club Ladies have progressed to the next round of the Inter Club competition after defeating Paignton B at Starcross by 48-30, writes Roger Smith.

The winning rink was G Blackmore, L Dommett, L Eveleigh and R Veitch.

The men’s season continues to stumble along losing to Madeira on all four rinks, despite only conceding 15 shots, in the County Trophy competition.

The Men’s Over-60s teams had mixed fortunes the A team lost 34-35 to Culm Vale C. The winning rink was S Nevill, A Smith and R Smith 18-16.

The B team lost a rearranged match away against Uffculme by 26-46. However, they defeated visiting Marina C by 39-35 securing six points. The winning rink was E Goodenough, R Clarke and D Conbeer 27-10.

The mixed team returned to winning ways when playing away they defeated Belmont by 67-53. The winning rinks were R Clarke, J Evans and D Evans 20-10 and J Lovell, E Cox and J Livings19-9.
