Wiscombe Park will this Saturday host another thrilling and spectacular hill climbing action, starting with Torbay Motor Club's fourth running of their event, and the first of the club's hill-climb season.

There is a bumper entry of more than 100, including a variety of the spectacular motor-cycle and sidecar combinations.

A wide variety of saloon, sports and racing cars will contest the classes and valuable points are at stake in the Torbay Motor Club Speed, Wiscombe Park Hill Climb, Association of Central Southern and Welsh Area Motor Clubs championships.

Leading contenders for fastest time of the day include the shared five-litre Pilbeam MP43 of Rodney Thorne and Colin Pook and the similarly paired drivers of Poole's John Forsyth and Dave Gardner in their Pilbeam MP58, with Roger Cock and Andrew Dinner always threatening to spring a surprise in their two-litre machines.
