The men’s team at Feniton continued their success in the County Trophy competition with a win against Honiton by 82-71. The winning rinks were M Whitcombe, P Eels, J Skinner and C Jacobs 26-13 and G Osborne, D Downs, A Kury and R Cooke 24-16.
The over 60 men’s triples season got off to a somewhat disappointing start with the Hawks losing on both rinks to Budleigh Salterton by 26-39 and the Falcons losing on both rinks to Axminster by 20-36.
The Falcons did provide some cheer with a 46-23 win over Ottery St Mary C by 46-23. The winning rink was F Brooks, A Murdoch and T Cox 32-9 with the other rink tied.
The mixed team entertained Wellington and won by 116-89. The winning rinks were Jan Holmes, M Ganniclyfft and A Kury 26-7, P Bright, M Whitcombe and G Osborne 26-13, D Sanders, G Phillips and B Cann 22-16 and D Downs A Coyne and C Jacob 17-13.
