Honiton-based Chris Morgan has defended his European Deadlift Championship.
He was lifting in the European Single Event Championships which were held in Lausanne, Switzerland and made lifts of 220 kg followed by 247.5 kg and then 267.5 kg (personal best) at a bodyweight of 81.8 kg.
Speaking about the competition, Morgan said: “I’m delighted to have defended my European Championship title here in Lausanne and to have broken my own personal best once again.
“After suffering a number of injuries throughout this international season it’s a great relief to be moving forward again and to be making progress.
“It’s a great feeling to end 2012 with all my British, European and World Championship titles intact.”
