Mutter wins AVR senior April handicap meeting

Nearly 50 members took part in the AVR senior April handicap, won by Dave Mutter in 32:02, just pipping Ian Clements, 25:36, with David Cooke, third in 27:03.

Kelly Stamp, who ran all the Exe to Axe the day before, finished fourth in 27:01 and Fran Hodson was fifth in 26:12.

David Cooke leads the rankings with 82 points with Kelly Stamp sitting second on 78 and Fran Hodson is third with 64.

Roger Bramley ran in the Rome Marathon on 2nd April. The torrential rain and thunderstorms presented a challenge, but Roger negotiated the wet cobbled streets to finish in 3:55:20, 5398th out of 13375 finishers.
