There was great excitement for all connected to the N1 Tri Club last weekend as another member qualified to represent GB in Edmonton Canada this summer at the World Championships.
Vanessa Glynn is well known in the area as a superb all-round athlete, but this past weekend she summoned up all her will to come second in her age group in the Rother Valley Sprint Race.
She covered the lake swim of 750 metres with ease after many evenings spent with the club at both Honiton and Sidmouth Pools.
A practiced wetsuit removal saw her quickly onto her bike and she negotiated the 20 km highly technical course with many ups and downs in fine style.
On to the run and Vanessa cruised around the 5km course to achieve a personal goal that will inspire both her fellow club members and hopefully all senior athletes.
