National award for Honiton anglers

Honiton Sea Angling Club held it's presentation night at the Royal British Legion in Honiton.
Just over 80 members and partners enjoyed a great night with all awards from 2010 year presented.
The club has just won the Sea Angling News Award, which is presented to the club who catch the most number of specimen fish over 100 per cent across the whole of England.
It’s no mean feat as its up against clubs with hundreds of members. The club’s tally of specimen fish ended up with 74.
Membership has also increased by 15 per cent.
Best specimen fish of the year went to Terry Hartnell who caught a shore Pollack of 9lb 1oz from area T (180.3 per cent).
Winner of the shore event through 2010 went to Ben Bradstock and the boat version went to Leon Rice.
