After a cold start and showers of light rain, the sun came out for the ladies’ Bowmaker, conditions improved and the later players had the advantage of warmer, drier conditions.

Captains’ Drive-In.
Sunday saw the newly-elected captains take part in the annual Drive-In.
Julia Collins did a respectable drive up the first fairway to the crack of a large firework which was let off in the hope of distracting her.
Steven (Babe) Phillips, still on crutches after a knee operation, just about managed his drive, a brave effort.
