AVR member Graham Newton, in the company of 140 other runners, ran the inaugural ‘Combe Crawler’, a tough, hilly, muddy eight-and-a-half mile race, taking in the North Devon Coast path, writes Dave Mutter.

Graham had a good run and was both amazed and delighted to win the Men’s over 55 category in 1:18:28.

he hot showers available at the end of the race were very welcome due to the amount of mud accumulated by the runners.

Congratulations to Ilfracombe Running Club, for their well marshalled first race.
