The annual AGM Greensomes got off to its usual shotgun start - unfortunately, there was no shotgun, so someone had to run around the course shouting - 'start at 9am' - and those who didn't have a wristwatch had to scan the course to see when others had started! The rest of the day went off without a hitch on a beautiful sunny day.

The AGM was chaired by club president Ann Humphreys who was standing in for outgoing captain, Ann Michie, who was unwell. Ann Michie, in her year as captain, supported the charity, The League of Friends and raised 2,425. Much of the money came from fund-raising events within the club, 190 came from egg sales and a substantial amount was donated by various businesses in Axminster. This is a worthy charity supplying much needed equipment and refurbishment for local hospitals. Receiving the cheque was Mrs Diana Church, who then gave a talk on the work her charity carried out. After prizegiving the new ladies' captain Jane Dixon was sworn in.
