Number one Seed triumph at Lyme Regis

Sunday’s stableford was very keenly contested as junior vice captain George Seed and junior captain David Lyon battled it out for top spot, writes Richard Jackman.

In the end it was the youngster who won Division One with 40 points with Lyon taking second place with 39 points and Steve Pielesz took third spot with 38 points.

Division Two was won clearly by Luke De Pasquale with 38 points from Simon Leech, 35 with Joey Thirlwell third on countback also with 35 points.

George Seed was also in action later in the day when he played Danny Searle in the final of the Astill Trophy.

This was a very exciting match that went to the 20th hole where Seed triumphed to end a very memorable day, well done to them both.

Tuesday saw a packed clubhouse enjoy a Quiz evening.

The ladies held their lady captain’s fun competition.

The winners with a superb 72 points were Caroline Baker, Rosemary Dare and Corinne Jones.

Second place with 67 points went to Di Dick, Prue Russell and Nicola Russell, and not to be left out of her competition, lady captain Lizzie Linnert teamed up with Gilly Madill and Lila Lambert to take third place with 64 points.
