Offwell Rangers claimed a fourth win of the Fresha League Division Seven season when they defeated Elmore Reserves 5-2.
Rangers were slow to get into their stride and fell behind to an early goal. However, once they found their feet parity was restored by Ashley Trudgeon just before half-time.
After the break Rangers had an extra yard in their stride and quickly raced into a 3-1 lead thanks to a brace from leading scorer Dan Williams who now has 15 goals to his name in a dozen outings this season!
However, once again the current nemesis of the side – switching off when in a healthy position – was evident and some laid-back defending was punished with the visitors making it 3-2.
The Elmore goal proved to be the turning point in the game as Rangers rallied and quickly had the game put to bed thanks to a second goal from Trudgeon before a 25-yard strike by Paul Dudley, the latter currently in the form of his life – sealed success.
Powershoes of Honiton were the match sponsors and they opted for their choice of Rangers’ Man of the Match as two-goal Ashley Trudgeon.
