Offwell Rangers 6, Winkleigh 2 Offwell Rangers staged a second half come-back to begin their Fresha League Division Three campaign in victorious fashion.
They trailed 2-0 at half-time when new boss Dave Chaffey gave an inspirational talk and, within five minutes of the re-start, skipper Liam Spiller fired his team back into the contest. It was soon 2-2 with Euan Carnelly tucking away a penalty.
Once level there was no stopping Rangers as they powered home four more goals. Ollie Cramer rifled one into the top corner, Jamie Doidge powered a header home, Carnelly bagged a second from close range and Craig Sluman came off the bench to score the sixth and final goal.
Boss Chaffey said: “We were slightly lack lustre in the first half, but came out after the break reinvigorated. The two quick goals settled us and we then went on to dominate. My Man of the Match was Jamie Doidge who had a good game in the centre of our midfield.’
