Honiton Harriers 1, Pinhoe Gladiators 0 Honiton Harriers Under-9s took charge from the first whistle, passing the ball with real confidence, writes Garry Osborne.
Five minutes before the break a Liam Osborne corner found its way into the net to give Harriers the lead and they were a whisker from a second just before the interval when Tyler Pendrick and Issac Lidster combined Harry Smith going close.
The second half saw good work from Max Bodfish and Jack Bevan as they kept it tight at the back and a great save from Jack Cowley denied the visitors an equaliser.
Near the end Mason Doble broke through and saw his shot saved well by the keeper.
