Ottery St Mary’s poor run continued as they could only take a losing draw from their visit to Countess Wear.
Since the Otters became the first team, to inflict defeat upon champions elect Ipplepen on June 18 they have won just one other game, that against bottom of the table Bridestowe!
They do, however, still, sit comfortably second in the D Division table and a win over visiting Feniton on Saturday would take them to within thirty points of claiming a place in the C Division next season.
Countess Wear scored an imposing 254-6 with Will Harrison claiming three wickets and Mark Woodman bagging a brace.
Sam Tennent then hit a fine 70, James Faulkner an unbeaten 43 and Jody Clements chipped in with 25 as the reply closed on 208-6.
