Honiton hosted The Howard Cotterell Trophy, with local bowling clubs invited to play in a round robin format match against teams from Honiton. Ottery St Mary won the trophy on a very hot but enjoyable day, and the bowlers welcomed the break for a cream tea.
On another lovely sunny afternoon, members of Tiverton Borough Bowling Club visited Honiton to play a Friendly match. Honiton winning (70 - 58). Top rink for Honiton was D Lindley, M Bright, C Morfey (16 - 6).
In the Ladies Over 50s league, the Honiton Honey Bees played Uffculme at home winning (51- 11). Top rink for Honiton J Heard, Y Williams, H Chambers (32 - 4).
Honiton Lacemakers travelled to Chardstock, winning their match (38 - 24). Top rink was S Willcox, S Dando, D Morley (20 - 9).
Honiton Ladies also played a County Interclub match at Feniton against Bovey Tracey. It was a close match with Bovey Tracey winning (41 - 39). Top Rink for Honiton B Maynard, D Courtney, S Dando, D Morley (23 - 19).
