A short field of 45 Honiton seniors contested a stableford competition on a very wet course which made putting particularly difficult, writes Liz Rogers.

John Pawley in Division Two made the best score of the day, with 37 points.

Steve Blundell was runner-up in that division, followed by Keith Thomas, Mike Delaney and Ron Rogers.

Division One was won by Paul Ritchie with 35 points, beating Dave Maggs on countback.

Peter Clarke, Mike Ward and Jim Wallis were the other prize-winners.
