TEN enthusiastic AVP cyclists enjoyed their annual weekend cycling tour.

After a calm crossing the group set off at a brisk pace up the hill out of Roscoff to the pretty town of St Pol de Leon. They followed the coast along the river to the delightful historical market town of Morlaix. The cycling was extremely enjoyable and comfortable, the roads being mostly of smooth tarmac which ran along the edge of the estuary and river.

After exploring the town they climbed the Morlaix viaduct, one enthusiastic member (Robin Clapp) carrying his bike with him. The return trip included a steady climb inland along country lanes with open views and through small villages, wending back to St Pol. A rest and drink preceded the final few miles to Roscoff where the ferry awaited.
