Football clubs across the region are dusting off their bibs, wiping down the cones and stocking up on energy drinks as players begin to return for pre-season.
In the South-West Peninsula League, a number of teams will play their opening friendly fixtures this weekend, with Axminster Town hosting Wincanton Town at Tiger Way on Saturday.
Sidmouth Town will welcome Exwick Villa on Tuesday and Axminster are back in action with the visit of Wellington on July 8.
Ottery St Mary work on their preparations for a step up to a new level with a trip to Bishops Lydeard on July 9.
One game that will catch the attention at Tiger Way comes on July 13, when Willand Rovers are the visitors and Exmouth Town v Sidmouth on July 14 should be a local cracker.
All the ingredients are in place for a fascinating pre-season and hopefully a full and proper football campaign.
