Pinder impressive at National Schools Cross Country Championship

PUBLISHED: 08:50 27 March 2014 | UPDATED: 08:50 27 March 2014

Axe Valley Community College Year 10 student Tony Pinder was involved in the 2014 National Schools Cross Country Championships at Castle Donington.

The course was long and very rutted under foot making it a challenging 5.2km.

There were 345 runners on the start line and young Pinder did very well to finish 276th.

His performance is all the more commendable given that he was running against many runners a year older than him!

It’s the second year running that Pinder has been to the championships’ and he’s looking to make it a hat-trick of appearances in the 2015 championships.
