OPG have had a mixed start to their season but tonight they made it two wins out of four starts when they had a comfortable victory over Howden Hawks despite starting 10 goals behind. By quarter time they had overhauled the deficit to lead by 13-10 and from there they never looked back running out winners by 58-26 thanks to good play from Kana Manshum, with Meg Falkner doing well for Hawks.

Flamingos moved up to fourth thanks to a victory over Sidmouth Toucans for whom Kirsty Platt once again turned in a fine performance. Toucans started with an advantage but Flamingos had overturned this by the end of the first period to lead by 16-14. With Sarah Clark giving another fine display the Flamingos continued to increase their lead quarter by quarter and going into the final period were 43-19 ahead. The final quarter belonged to Toucans as they comfortably outscored Flamingos fighting back to 30-49 to ensure gaining another point that moved them into 5th place.
