Upottery II remain very much part of the promotion picture in E Division East after a two wicket win at Kilmington II.

Jon Tattershall (29) and skipper Steve Morris (27) helped Kilmington to 145 with Dan Prettejohn leading from the front with 4-29 from 6.5 overs and Fred Drew claimed 3-17 in eleven excellent overs.

Leo Jefferson then hit an unbeaten 55 and Mike Arscott chipped in with 27 from the number three slot as Upottery got home on 146-8 with Dave Lavender claiming 3-29 for the hosts.

Prettejohn’s side are at home to Halberton and Samford Peverell on Saturday after which they have four to play to complete their season and the possibility of Upottery CC achieving double promotion remains very much on the cards.

On the possibility of promotion, Prettejohn says: “It’s in our thoughts of course, that’s why we play the game, to get as high as we can and so why not us going up. We’ll give it a right go between now and the end of the season and if we don’t make it then I can asure you it will not be for the want of trying.”
