What a week at Honiton Golf Club – rain, rain and a bit more rain.
A brave 34 ladies played in the Medal round on Wednesday, May 5 on a blustery, rainy day and 16 were competing for the Medal Trophy.
To qualify, a player must have won a medal round in the previous year, or lost on countback. With the Covid problems, the results were based on medal results from 2019.
Jackie Seager was the 2021 Medal Trophy winner, with Susan Hyde winning the overall competition on the day. The Stableford competition was won by Jackie Seager with 31pts, closely followed by Penny Blackburn with 30.
The seniors completed their Bowmaker three-ball with winners being George Blake, Peter Blake and Steve Butcher with a score of 84, followed by John Fleetwood, Tom Stanton and Bill Eaton on 81. Third place went to Ian Guy, Peter Clarke and David Rouse with 80 pts.
